Note: the compiled binaries in the bin directory are for Familiar based
installations (glibc). 


batlvl    - report current battery level and charging indicator
  -l for continuous reporting

lcd       - enable/disable lcd and control contrast
  arg 1 is 0/1 for disable/enable
  arg 2 is 0-7 contrast

lcdpal    - change hardware pallette
  args (either 1 or 2) are new pallette data  

led       - change green/orange led
  arg 1 is g/o for green/orange
  arg 2 is 0/1 for off/on
  for orange led, arg 2/3 are 1-4 second interval and 1-15 duty cycle  

lid       - determine if lid switch is open/closed
  return value is 0 or 1

poweroff-zipit - software power-off or reboot
  -p for power off
  -r for reboot

snooze    - suspend to ram

powerd    - daemon 
  calls /etc/power/event script for events (see example)


fbpal     - show 16 grey swatches
